1. Purpose
This Code of Conduct establishes ethical, professional, and compliant behaviour standards for all employees, partners, service providers, and representatives of Vector Finance Private Limited ("Company"). It ensures responsible lending, fair customer treatment, and adherence to RBI Digital Lending Directions.
2. Commitment to Ethical Behaviour
All representatives shall:
- Act with honesty, integrity, and fairness.
- Avoid misrepresentation or coercion.
- Maintain transparency in all customer communication.
3. Compliance with Laws & Regulations
All employees and partners must:
- Comply with RBI regulations, NBFC norms, and digital lending guidelines.
- Follow internal policies, including data privacy and grievance protocols.
- Report violations immediately to the Compliance Officer.
4. Fair Treatment of Customers
The Company ensures:
- No abusive, threatening, or harassing behaviour.
- No discrimination or unfair practices.
- Clear disclosure of APR, fees, tenure, penalties, and cooling-off period.
- Timely sharing of KFS, loan agreements, and repayment schedule.
5. Responsible Digital Lending Practices
Representatives shall ensure:
- No hidden or undisclosed charges.
- No unauthorized auto-debit mandates.
- All repayments go to the Company's designated account.
- Loan terms and exit options are clearly explained.
6. Prohibition on Misconduct
Strictly prohibited:
- Misleading statements or false promises.
- Aggressive sales tactics.
- Sharing customer data with unauthorized parties.
- Taking customer phones, documents, or social media access.
- Intimidation, harassment, or public shaming during recovery.
7. Data Protection & Confidentiality
Employees and partners must:
- Safeguard all customer data.
- Access information only for legitimate business use.
- Follow all IT and cybersecurity protocols.
8. Guidelines for Collections & Recovery Agents
Recovery agents must:
- Follow RBI-compliant conduct norms.
- Contact customers only during permitted hours.
- Always use respectful behaviour.
- Display proper identification.
- Avoid harassment or intimidation.
9. Conflict of Interest
Employees must:
- Disclose conflicts of interest.
- Avoid bribery, favoritism, or accepting gifts.
- Maintain impartiality in loan approval or recovery.
